About Me
I graduated from U.C.L.A. with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and received my Master’s degree in Social Work from San Diego State University. I obtained my license in 1994.
In addition to counseling and supervising interns I have used my skills in educational arenas.
At San Diego Community College, I was employed as an adjunct professor teaching Human Services 101 for two years. At the same time I’ve been invited to guest speak at a variety of organizations. At the Academy for Academic Excellence, I provided educational workshops for social service workers in San Diego and Riverside Counties. Additionally, I’ve been asked to guest speak at CU Boulder’s Masters in Psychology program, Front Range Community College’s Psychology 10 class, and at San Diego State University’s Masters in Psychology program.
Guest Lecture topics include: Understanding Personality Disorders, Identifying Family Dynamics, Cognitive Therapy techniques to help Anxiety and Depression symptoms, The Use of Art in Therapy with teenagers, and Understanding the Grief process.
